Troy Morris
3rd degree
Troy Morris has more than 20 years of experience in boxing, kickboxing, Ed Parker Kenpo, Peoples Kenpo, and Escrima. He started his training in a basement studio in Littleton, CO. that used to be a sewing shop (imagine pins coming out of the carpet and sticking in your feet). There were holes in the walls with no heat in the winter and no air conditioner in the summer. His teacher was Sensei Dave Hemmingway and he was tough as nails! You worked hard and you did not stop until you where told to and if you did, well, you learned a lesson. Troy quickly got the nick names Bam Bam and The Perfectionist because of the power behind his strikes and due to his attention to detail and perfect form. Because of his attention to technique Troy is the fastest, and one of the most powerful heavy weights (6 foot 4 and 230 lbs) out there. When he teaches, his classes are fun but hard. He will teach you how to get the most out of your workout.
Tasha Morris
5th degree
Tasha (Banta) Morris started her training as a very little girl with her Father, Master Jessie Banta. Through Master Banta's teaching's, she became proficient in Ed Parker Kenpo, Judo, Jiu-jitsu, and Kung Fu training exclusively under her father for the first 16 years. Branching out and seeking more knowledge in the martial arts, Tasha trained in American Kenpo, Tae Kwon Do, Escrima, Aikido, and Peoples Kenpo. Tasha walked into the studio where Troy worked out, more than 20 years ago, and she loved it. She was not treated any differently then the male students. She trained in boxing and kickboxing with the guys and being a lot smaller and the only female, she had to prove herself - definitely earning respect from the bigger male students. Tasha was the only female to receive her black belt from Sensei Dave Hemmingway. Tasha has competed in boxing and kickboxing professionally.
Because of her fast speed and incredible strength, Tasha earned the fight name ''Taz"- as in the Tasmanian Devil. She retired her gloves in 2001 and is a pioneer for women fighters. Tasha has been featured in The Rocky Mountain News, The Pacific Coast, channel 9 News, and channel 7 News.
